Aquarium Cafe & Lounge
The idea for Iloilo City’s first marine-themed restaurant came about when Rene Temblador decided to blend his passion for food, coffee, and aquatic creatures together.
An avid aquarist, Temblador likes to set up aquariums and owns a diverse collection of saltwater and freshwater fish ranging from ornamental fish to giant arapaimas and other river monsters.
However, this hobby has proved to be expensive and exhausting for Temblador, who also manages several businesses including a local business process outsourcing company.
Always the innovator, Temblador thought of sharing this passion to others through a restaurant that serves good food and drinks and lets him take good care of his collection.
Aquarium Cafe and Lounge is Temblador’s way of bringing the love and joy of caring for aquatic life to Ilonggos. It prides itself to be the first restaurant that features large tanks containing giant catfish, arapaimas, turtles, and other exotic creatures, including reptiles – a concept that has never been tried before in the City of Love.
The cafe’s spacious interior and cozy ambiance is perfect for meetings, birthdays, wedding receptions, and other occasions, but its main attractions are the large tanks filled with giant fish, making for a great background for that perfect Instagram selfie!
